Important
Fits 2004-2022 XL Sportster models. Does NOT fit the XR1200/XR1200X (Öhlins offers separate part numbers HD 907, HD 908, HD 852 for the XR platform). Spans the carbureted XLH (2004-2006), early fuel-injected (2007-2009), and rubber-mounted Sportster (2004-2022) eras — fitment is correct across all three on the rear shock interface.

Öhlins STX 36 Blackline rear shocks for Harley-Davidson Sportster XL, 2004-2022. A premium suspension upgrade over the OEM rear shocks, with the all-black Blackline finish and proven STX 36 damping platform tuned for the Sportster chassis.

Sold as a complete pair (left and right rear shocks).

This is the fully-adjustable premium configuration in the 13in Sportster Blackline series — both compression and rebound damping adjustment, piggyback reservoir, and the longer 13in length for riders wanting a taller rear stance with the full Öhlins tuning range.

Installation Notes

  • Direct bolt-on replacement for the OEM rear shocks. The piggyback reservoir extends outboard from the shock body and the 13in length raises the rear stance — confirm clearance and intended ride height before ordering.
  • Initial sag setting is recommended after install.
