Capacity is about the load, not the truck
Tongue weight, pin weight, or camper weight on the rear axle decides the kit. Getting it wrong is why trucks still sag with air springs on them.
The jounce bumper is the insurance
Air springs need at least 5 PSI to survive. The Ultimate kits carry an internal jounce bumper, so a forgotten air-up costs you nothing instead of a spring.
Bags need air. Pick how you feed them
The included valves work with any tire pump if you set pressure once. The on-board compressor adjusts from your phone every time the load changes.
Common questions
Do air springs let me tow more?
No. They level the truck and restore ride height under a load you can already carry. Your ratings from the factory do not change. What you get is steering weight back on the front axle, headlights aimed at the road, and a trailer that stops swaying the truck around.
What happens if I forget to air up?
Air springs need at least 5 PSI at all times or the bag creases and wears out. The Ultimate kits have an internal jounce bumper that carries the truck if the bag ever goes flat, which is why we recommend them for anyone hauling weekly or running loaded all the time.
Do I need the on-board compressor?
If your load rarely changes, the included valves and a tire pump do the job. Set it once and check it monthly. If the load changes week to week, the compressor pays for itself fast: you adjust pressure from your phone without leaving the cab, loaded or empty.
How hard is the install?
Most kits bolt to existing holes in the frame and take an afternoon with hand tools. The compressor adds mounting and wiring, still a driveway job for most people. Every kit ships with a full illustrated manual, and any shop can do the whole thing in a few hours of labor.
My truck is not listed. Now what?
The finder shows what we can put on your truck today. Firestone Ride-Rite covers some trucks Air Lift does not, and we can often source a kit that is not in the catalog. Call us and we will sort it by phone.
