Öhlins NIX 22 front fork cartridge kit for Harley-Davidson Touring, 2014-2016. A drop-in upgrade for the OEM front fork internals, delivering Öhlins-grade compression and rebound damping without replacing the complete fork assembly.

Note: FKS 226 fits all 2014-2016 Harley FL Touring models with the Showa front fork (Road Glide, Street Glide, Electra Glide, Road King, Ultra Classic). Tri Glide models are NOT supported by this kit.

Showa fork only. This cartridge kit fits the Showa-equipped front fork variant. Confirm your fork is the Showa variant before ordering — Harley shipped multiple fork brands across the year range and these cartridges will not fit other fork architectures.

The NIX architecture separates compression and rebound damping between the left and right fork legs — compression in one leg, rebound in the other — for more precise damping control than the OEM internals. Adjustments are made at the fork cap, alongside the spring preload. The cartridges install bolt-in into the original fork tubes.

Installation Notes

  • This is a fork-internals replacement and requires complete fork disassembly. Installation by an Öhlins-certified suspension shop is strongly recommended for buyers without prior fork-service experience.
  • This kit fits Showa forks only. Confirm fork brand before ordering — physical fitment will not work on other fork architectures.
  • Springs are required for installation and must be purchased separately. The correct spring rate depends on rider weight; Öhlins publishes a fitment guide and Öhlins USA technical support can recommend the right spring for your application.
  • Front fork oil is consumed during installation and must be purchased separately. Öhlins publishes a recommended oil specification for these cartridges.
  • This kit is part of a system — the complete suspension upgrade requires the cartridge kit plus springs plus fork oil, ordered together for installation.
