1997-2013 Harley-Davidson Touring Öhlins FKC 100 Front Fork Cartridge Kit (Showa)
Öhlins FKC 100 front fork cartridge kit for Harley-Davidson Touring, 1997-2013. An Öhlins-grade upgrade for the OEM front fork internals on the pre-Milwaukee-Eight Touring platform, delivering improved damping over the long service life of the Twin Cam and earlier Touring chassis.
Showa fork only. This cartridge kit fits the Showa-equipped front fork variant used on Harley Touring models in this era. Confirm your fork is the Showa variant before ordering.
The FKC series is the predecessor to Öhlins's current NIX architecture and uses an internal cartridge that bolts into the original fork tubes. Damping and preload are adjusted at the fork caps. This kit is the right choice for owners maintaining or upgrading earlier Touring models who want Öhlins damping authority without the cost of a complete fork replacement.
Features
- FKC cartridge architecture with rebound damping adjustment
- Spring preload adjustment at the fork caps
- Installs into the original fork tubes — no fork replacement required
- Fully serviceable and rebuildable — Öhlins services these in-house, and they are designed to be rebuilt rather than replaced over their service life.
What's Included
- Öhlins FKC 100 cartridge kit (both fork legs)
- Springs are not included with the cartridge kit. Öhlins springs are selected to match individual rider weight and are ordered separately — see Öhlins USA technical support for the correct spring rate.
- Mounting hardware and seals as required for cartridge installation
Installation Notes
- This is a fork-internals replacement and requires complete fork disassembly. Installation by an Öhlins-certified suspension shop is strongly recommended for buyers without prior fork-service experience.
- This kit fits Showa forks only. Confirm fork brand before ordering — physical fitment will not work on other fork architectures.
- Springs are required for installation and must be purchased separately. Öhlins publishes a fitment guide for the correct spring rate by rider weight.
- Front fork oil is consumed during installation and must be purchased separately.
- This kit is part of a system — the complete suspension upgrade requires the cartridge kit plus springs plus fork oil, ordered together for installation.
