The Avon Cobra Chrome is the next chapter in Avon's V-twin tire lineage, aimed at the power-cruiser, touring, and custom market. Built on the foundation of the long-running Cobra line, the Cobra Chrome delivers improved wet and dry grip, a larger contact patch, and longer tread life — paired with a distinctive snakeskin sidewall effect and embossed cobra head that give the tire its name.

Cobra Chrome is available in a wide range of sizes covering Harley-Davidson Touring, Softail, Dyna, V-Rod, Indian, Triumph Rocket III, Honda Gold Wing and Valkyrie, and custom builds. Sizes are designated AV91 for front fitments and AV92 for rear fitments.

Compound

This tire uses Avon's updated 1DK compound — the current-production silica formulation introduced as a running improvement to the Cobra Chrome line. The 1DK compound delivers enhanced wet-weather grip and improved tread wear compared to the original launch compound. A companion size in the original compound is also available for riders matching an existing tire on the opposite axle.
