Harley gave the 2014-2016 Rushmore touring bikes a better fairing and better brakes, but the fork internals stayed basic damper rod hardware. The Öhlins FKC 102 replaces those internals with true cartridge damping built on the same NIX technology Öhlins runs in its racing forks: rebound damping handled in one leg, compression in the other, so each circuit gets the full diameter of the fork leg to work with. The result is a front end that stops blowing through its travel under the brakes, tracks flat over broken pavement, and gives a 900 lb bagger the composed front feel it should have had from the factory.
