This is the complete lowering package for carbureted-era through 2013 Harley touring bikes: Progressive Suspension fork lowering springs up front and 11.5 in 412 Series shocks out back, dropping both ends together so the stance comes down about an inch without wrecking the chassis geometry. Lower the rear alone and you kick the rake out and slow the steering; this kit brings the front down with it, which is how a lowered bike should be done.

What is in the kit

  • Progressive fork lowering spring kit, engineered to drop the front end approximately 1 in while keeping a progressive rate that resists bottoming on the reduced travel.
  • Progressive 412 Series shocks (pair), 11.5 in eye to eye, gas-charged with progressive rate springs and adjustable preload, in black. About an inch lower than the common 12.5 in stock fitment.

Pick your model years

The rear shock valving differs by generation. 1980-2005 covers Evo and early Twin Cam tourers; 2006-2013 covers the later Twin Cam bikes. The fork spring kit covers the full range.

Pick your spring rating

Standard suits riders up to roughly 240 lb total load. Heavy Duty is for heavier riders, regular passengers, or loaded touring weight. Lowered suspension has less travel to work with, so if you are near the line, take Heavy Duty.

Know the tradeoffs

Lowering an inch means giving up about an inch of travel and some cornering clearance. The progressive-rate springs at both ends are what make that livable: soft initial movement for comfort, ramping up firmly to resist bottoming. Check your lean angle and kickstand behavior after install, and set preload for your load.

Fitment

Fits 1980-2013 Harley-Davidson Touring models including Road King (FLHR, FLHRC, FLHRS), Street Glide (FLHX, 2006-2013), Road Glide (FLTR, FLTRX, FLTRU), Electra Glide Standard, Classic, and Ultra Classic, and Tour Glide. Choose the year range option matching your bike. Not for 2014 and newer Touring models with the 49mm fork.

Install notes

Rear shocks are a straightforward bolt-on. The fork springs require removing the fork caps and original springs; no fork disassembly beyond that. Ships as two factory boxes.
