This is the kit the performance bagger crowd builds toward: Öhlins FKC cartridge internals up front and Öhlins STX Pro Blackline reservoir shocks out back, sold as one matched front and rear package for 2014-2016 Harley-Davidson Touring models. Öhlins is the name riders trust from MotoGP grids to the King of the Baggers paddock, and this is their full treatment for a Grand American Touring chassis: a bike that stops diving under the brakes, holds a line through a sweeper, and soaks up broken pavement with both wheels working together.

What is in the kit

  • Öhlins FKC 100 series fork cartridge kit (pair) for the 49mm Showa fork, replacing the factory damper rod internals with true cartridge damping. Includes Öhlins 08790 series fork springs.
  • Öhlins STX Pro Blackline reservoir shocks (pair) in your choice of length and spring rating: black bodies with Öhlins' signature gold hose-mounted reservoirs, fully adjustable compression, rebound, length, and spring preload to dial the ride to your load.

Choose your rear shock

13 in, 150-500 lb spring rating: the standard pick. An inch more shock length than the stock Street Glide and Road Glide setup means more usable travel, and the spring range covers most solo riders and lighter two-up loads.

13 in, 250-575 lb spring rating: same length, heavier spring range. Take this one if you regularly ride two-up, run loaded bags and a trunk, or your total ride load sits toward the heavy end.

12 in, heavy duty spring: for riders who need to keep the rear at stock Street Glide height or prioritize a lower stance. Less travel than the 13 in options, with the heavier spring helping offset it. Know the tradeoff before you pick it.

Rebuildable, not disposable

Most twin shocks are sealed units you eventually throw away. Öhlins builds these to be serviced and rebuilt, so the kit you bolt on this season is the suspension you are still running six figures of miles from now. That is a large part of what the price buys.

Why front and rear together

Every touring owner who has upgraded one end learns the same lesson: the improved end exposes the stock one. Damping rates, spring rates, and ride heights work as a system, and mixing mismatched components can upset rake and trail on a 900 lb bike. This kit pairs the FKC cartridges and STX Pro shocks so both ends are speaking the same language out of the box.

Fitment

Fits 2014-2016 Harley-Davidson Touring models with the 49mm Showa fork, including Street Glide (FLHX, FLHXS), Road King (FLHR), Electra Glide Ultra Classic (FLHTCU, FLHTCUL), Ultra Limited (FLHTKL, FLHTKSE CVO Limited), CVO Street Glide (FLHXSE), Road Glide Special (FLTRXS), and CVO Road Glide Ultra (FLTRUSE). Not compatible with 2017 and newer Touring models, which use different fork internals, or with 2013 and earlier 41mm forks. The rear shocks in this kit fit 2014-2026 Touring on their own, so if you ride a 2017 or newer bike, run them standalone and pair the front separately.

Ordering and install notes

Öhlins components are frequently built to order, so allow additional lead time on this kit. The rear shocks are a bolt-on install; the fork cartridge install requires fork disassembly and is worth shop time if you have not done it before. Set sag front and rear for your load after install to get what you paid for. Kit ships as two factory boxes, one pair of cartridges and one pair of shocks.
