Fox's complete answer for the Milwaukee-Eight Softails: GRIP fork cartridges in your choice of trim up front, and the Fox IFP-QSR monoshock in your choice of length out back. One order upgrades the whole chassis on the most popular cruiser platform Harley makes.

Pick your front cartridge

GRIP Street Performance: fixed-valving cartridge damping tuned by Fox for the M8 Softail, replacing the factory damper rod internals. Install and ride.

GRIP ST Adjustable: the step up, adding external adjustability so you can tune the front to your weight and pace.

Pick your rear shock length

The Softail runs a single under-seat monoshock, and length sets your stance. 12.4 in is the stock-style fitment for most models. 13 in adds a touch of travel and cornering clearance. 13.5 in maximizes both for riders who push hardest, at the cost of a slightly taller seat.

Adjustability that earns its keep

The IFP-QSR rear pairs internal floating piston damping with Fox's QSR quick-adjust preload ring, so adding a passenger or a loaded bag is a hand-turn adjustment, not a tool session. Everything in the kit is fully serviceable and rebuildable.

Why front and rear together

One upgraded end just exposes the other. Matched front and rear keeps the M8 Softail's geometry working the way the chassis engineers intended, with both ends controlling the 700 lb bike instead of fighting each other.

Fitment

Fits 2018-2025 Harley-Davidson Softail models with the conventional 49mm fork, including Street Bob (FXBB, FXBBS), Softail Standard (FXST), Softail Slim (FLSL), Deluxe (FLDE), Heritage Classic (FLHC, FLHCS), Fat Boy (FLFB, FLFBS), Breakout (FXBR, FXBRS), Low Rider (FXLR 2018-2020), and Hydra-Glide Revival, per the fitment list. Not for Fat Bob (FXFB, FXFBS) or Low Rider S and ST, which use inverted front ends; the rear shock fits those models and is available separately.

Ordering and install notes

Fox components can be built to order, so allow additional lead time on some combinations. The rear monoshock install requires lifting the bike; the fork cartridge install requires fork disassembly. Set sag front and rear after install. Kit ships as two factory boxes.
